It is a technique developed in China in the 1970s by Dr. Zhiyun Bo. Abdominal acupuncture (or "Fuzhen") is based on the stimulation of points located only in the stomach.
In 1972 Dr. Bo treated a patient who suffered from severe lower back pain. With a sudden inspiration, he used Rm points 4 and 6 for treatment. After 5 minutes, the patient's symptoms disappeared and even better, they never returned.
Dr. Bo used these points for other patients with similar problems and the result was always the same. It was the beginning of a 30-plus-year development of points, which he described as a prenatal or congenital channel system (Congenital Channel System = SCS) responding from the navel. He called it “Shen Que Channel System” because Shen Que RM8 is the “umbilical acupoint”. Shen Que is the entrance and exit of Shen and is also seen as the microscopic image of the celestial center. That is why it is the source of all movements and processes in the human body! This SCS appears as an accumulation of dots that radiate from RM8 and in shape resembles a turtle.
